compactifications and representations of transformation semigroups

this thesis deals essentially (but not from all aspects) with the extension of the notion of semigroup compactification and the construction of a general theory of semitopological nonaffine (affine) transformation semigroup compactifications. it determines those compactification which are universal with respect to some algebric or topological properties. as an application of the theory, it is i...

L2-transforms for boundary value problems

In this article, we will show the complex inversion formula for the inversion of the L2-transform and also some applications of the L2, and Post Widder transforms for solving singular integral equation with trigonometric kernel. Finally, we obtained analytic solution for a partial differential equation with non-constant coefficients.

On Inversion of the Bessel and Gelfand Transforms

We construct the Plancherel measure corresponding to the Bessel model on the split special orthogonal group of odd degree ≥ 5 and the Whittaker model on a connected split reductive group in general. As an application we prove the inversion formula which expresses the related integral transform in terms of the Satake transform.

Wavelet transforms on Gelfand-Shilov spaces and concrete examples

In this paper, we study the continuity properties of wavelet transforms in the Gelfand-Shilov spaces with the use of a vanishing moment condition. Moreover, we also compute the Fourier transforms and the wavelet transforms of concrete functions in the Gelfand-Shilov spaces.

Boundary and Lens Rigidity of Finite Quotients

We consider compact Riemannian manifolds (M,∂M, g) with boundary ∂M and metric g on which a finite group Γ acts freely. We determine the extent to which certain rigidity properties of (M,∂M, g) descend to the quotient (M/Γ, ∂/Γ, g). In particular, we show by example that if (M,∂M, g) is boundary rigid then (M/Γ, ∂/Γ, g) need not be. On the other hand, lens rigidity of (M,∂M, g) does pass to the...
